LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has praised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police over their performance in the Asma murder case saying the police have worked professionally to catch the culprits involved in the incident.
Earlier, the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan Dr. Saeed Muhammad said that the prime suspect behind Asma murder case has confessed to the crime, adding that he is victim’s cousin and juvenile (15-years-old).
Imran took to Twitter to laud the PTI-led province police saying “the KP police worked professionally to catch culprit showing they have developed advanced forensic detection capability as well”.
Pointing towards the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s controversial press conference following the arrest of the murderer of the seven-year-old Zainab, Imran said the KP police chief gave a professional press briefing instead of political gloating.
Nor was there any political gloating by CM. Instead, as is done all over the democratic world, the police chief gave a professional press briefing. This is the difference between KP's professional police force & the highly politicised & criminalised police force of Punjab & Sindh https://t.co/7UpISpIgyQ
