The Youth Commission for Human Rights (YCHR) has counted its last month feats for the cause of promoting interfaith harmony.
The YCHR established 30 special Waseeb Aman Kath (WAK) in UC 86, Bosan Town of Multan district. The WAKs held special events like dialogues, seminars, poetic recitals, dhappi ball, kabaddi matches and interactive theatres to promote peace and interfaith harmony. Community members belonging to various sects took part in these activities. Speakers in the activities guided people about the governmental efforts and laws for the formation of a peaceful society. Several religious speakers also addressed the participants on the topic of peace and tolerance.
They laid emphasis on the importance of citizen’s role for promoting peace and tolerance. In seminars, a collective resolution was also adopted for ensuring continuing with such efforts so that peace and tolerance could be promoted. A total of 1,951 members showed up at such events held by 30 WAKs in UC 86, Jungle Kalran, Bosan Town, Multan, renewing resolve to continue with the cause for peace.
