LAHORE: Addressing a ceremony in Hala on Monday held to commemorate the memory of late Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
The ceremony in Hala, Amin’s native town in the Matiari district of Sindh, was dedicated to the memory of the late party leader who served as Federal Information Minister during Benazir Bhutto’s first tenure as the Prime Minister. Special prayers were also offered for him.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed the ceremony and said his party would never forget Amin Fahim.
He also said that PPP has always given employment opportunities to the youth whenever it was given mandate by the public and promised to build a trauma hospital in Karachi’s Civil Hospital.
To honour Amin’s memory, he laid down the foundation of Makhdoom Muhammed Zaman Talab-ul-Maula Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Hala.
The ceremony was also attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Faryal Talpur who also spoke on the occasion.
